In the beginning, when I first applied at Amal, I was very confused about it my expectations, I mean what they are doing something great for youth and I am not ready for this fellowship but unfortunately, my brother fills the form and said no worry just wait for the selection because they received a huge amount of application. after all the procedure finally, I selected for the beautiful journey and I am really thankful to Allah for this opportunity.

Amal has been quite a journey. I never knew I was going to connect with it in such an intense manner. The first two weeks were very challenging because I was committed to a lot of other things. In the first week, we were assigned a task to represent your Life Map and I remember I was so excited to accomplish their tasks and I put a lot of effort to make it perfect within almost 7 to 8 hours because I wanted to live every little movement of this three-month journey. This life map totally gets back into my childhood once again I recall my memory when I making this map just a great experience I had which I can never forget.

In the second week, we were given 5 Amal values, to display which were, Honesty, Responsibility, Growth, Humility, and Acceptance, by creating something of our own choice. At that moment, I felt connected. I never thought of making a wall frame for myself before. Never in my life have I felt that I can mix up something really close to my heart with a work task or assignment. This seemed like an opportunity through which I could express my personality. So I decided to make the stairs to show Amal values. It’s been 3 months now but I can still feel the same looking at it exactly what I felt while creating it.

First Learning Group Meeting For Two Weeks

Learning groups were an amazing part of our Amal family. My first learning group comprised seven members including Me, Hafsa, Tehreem, Minahil, Yousaf, Abdullah, and Abubaker. This is a group where we learned teamwork and effective communication in the first two weeks. After two weeks we connected with each other throughout our journey. Even everyone shared their problems in this group, we had a lot of fun like never before.

Our Two Weeks Memories

These two pictures were taken from the very beginning of the fellowship, smiling face. We had a lot of fun to enjoy the activity which was really awesome “memory brings back”

“The best thing about memories is making them”

Reflection

I discovered that I am bestowed with many things, talents, and abilities that were hidden and to be discovered and Allhumdulliah many of things are beautifully explored in this journey, as I can speak in front of an audience, I can speak in English more than few words or lines, that was the biggest barrier for me or I was lacking confidence for this.

I think I am going to miss desperately, this three-month journey, I don’t know why but word has ended:( :(
